Incheon, SOUTH KOREA – Maldives women’s football team lost their second match against Thailand by 10-0 in the ongoing Incheon Asian Games 2014.
Thailand team scored 7 goals in the first half and in the second half they managed to score just 3 goals against the Maldives.
Maldives women’s team coach Ibrahim Haleem (Jadaa) said that his players performed well and did what I asked them to do.
“When compared to the first game we conceded few goals and they players did what I asked them to do throughout the game and performed very well.”
“Almost all the players will be satisfied with today’s result as we managed to decrease the margin when compared to the match against India. This will help the players to get experience for the upcoming SAFF Championship.”
When asked about the last game in the group against South Korea he said Korea is one of the best teams in Asia.
“South Korea is one of the best team in Asia and we must defend against them as well as today.”
Maldives will play against South Korea on 21st of this month.
