One season abroad and back home, perhaps not the worst of decisions given his form in SAFF Championship. But I still think he has few years left in him to play at the highest level. National team coach made a blunder in the crucial match against india by keeping him on the bench when our midfield was horribly overrun and begging for an experienced defensive midfielder to lent a semblance of control. More than anything it was tactical naivety that cost us the game. Hoping to see Bakaa prove that he far away from finished.

Actually there is no point in playing abroad. Whether you win the accolades for being best foreign player or play better in a better league than your own country league players you are not taken into account when your country choose the best player. Yes, I’m talking about Haveeru footballer of the year award! What does it essentially means? You won't win awards if you play abroad, to put it another way if you want win Haveeru awards play in Maldives league! Any footballer will want win awards and accolades and if they don't stand a chance of winning while playing abroad what is the point of going to the hassle of moving to another league when you can earn your livelihood at your own place however mediocre it is. One more question, what has happened to the annual award ceremonies FAM used to conduct?
