STO survived an opening defeat in the ongoing Club Maldives Cup against rivals MPL.

MPL took a one goal lead to the very last minute of the game but a deflected shot saw four times champions, STO, grab a point.

Meanwhile, a star studded Immigration side had to settle with a point against AVSECOM. The game finished 3-3.

In the other games played yesterday, Fehi Fahi club beat Club MYS by 3-2. Tourism minister and acting sports minister Ali Waheed played and scored a goal for MYS but was unable to take anything from the game.

Customs beat MTCC by 5-3 to start the tournament with a game.
