MISFT2016: Ghaazee School wins U16

Male’, MALDIVES – Ghaazee School won the championship of the Milo Inter School Football Tournament’s Under 16 age group after beating DH. Atoll Education Centre by 2-0 today in the match played at National Football Stadium.

Substitute player Hassan Anoof broke the deadlock in the 31st minute from a rebounded ball when keeper punched their first attempt on target.

Abdulla Yushree doubled the lead for Ghaazee School in the last minute before the break from a wonderful long range shot.

In the second half DH. Atoll Education Centre created good goal scoring opportunities and one them came from Yaamin which hits the cross bar.

Top scorer of the tournament was Muhyiddin School’s Baraau Ahmed Zahir and the fair play award goes to DH. Atoll Education Centre.

The best 11 players of this age group includes DH. Atoll Education Centre’s Mohamed Ahuzam Moosa, Isham Adam Naseer, Mohamed Shazeel, Mohamed Nihan Hussain, Ghaazee School’s Hassan Navaz, Mohamed Raaif Abdulla, Yaamin Ali, Ali Asham Abdulla, Hassan Ali, Muhyiddin School’s Baraau Ahmed Zahir Hussain and Mohamed Fizaal.

Maldives Ilympic Committee’s General Secretary Ahmed Marzooq, FAM Normalization Committee chairman Bassam Adeel Jaleel, Nestle Lanka Business Development Manager Dishan WIjeyawardene and FAM under 16 head coach Shakir distributed the awards.
