Thimphu coach happy despite defeat

Thimphu City FC coach Passang Tshering has praised the performance of his boys despite losing the match against club Valencia and being knocked out from the preliminary round of AFC Cup 2017. Thimphu lost the second leg today by 3 – 0 and is out of the competition. 

Speaking after the match, Coach Passang Tshering praised his side. 

“Winning and losing is a part of the game and today we were on the losing side”

“But I am proud of my boys. They played very well. It was because of the heat they couldn’t perform as they did in the first leg. 

Thimphu FC held Valencia until the 78th minute when substitute Ibrahim Hamdhan broke the deadlock. Later Prince and Ahmed Rilwan extended the lead for the home team.
