Valencia on the right path – Mujthaba

Head coach of Club Valencia Ahmed Mujthaba insists his team is on the right path to qualify for the playoff round of AFC Cup 2017. Valencia will host Thimphu City FC of Bhutan on Tuesday in the second leg of AFC cup Preliminary round. First leg of these two teams ended goalless last week.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, newly appointed head coach Mujthaba believed, his side will show a difference in tomorrow’s match against Champions of Bhutan.

“We do hope we can make a difference from the first leg. Actually in the first leg it was not our regular conditions in terms of weather”.

“But this is our home and we are now in our normal conditions”.

Despite the poor preparations ahead of AFC Cup preliminary round, Mujthaba applauded the commitment and the effort of his players in the away game.

“An away point is enough for us from the first leg and it was the hard work of the boys despite the poor preparations”.

Mujthaba was appointed to the position of Head Coach of Club Valencia just before the first leg against Thimphu FC. As Mujthaba was unable to travel along with the team for the away game, assistant coach Mohomed Iqbal lead the team.

Winner of the match will be qualified for the second round and has to play against regional giants Mohun Bagan of India or Colombo FC of Sri Lanka.
