THIMARAFUSHI WINS MINIVAN CHAMPIONSHIP 

Th. Thimarafushi clinched the title beating Shaviyani Foakaidhoo comfortably by 3-0.

Thimarafushi Team scored two goals before the end of the first half. Ahmed Hailam scored the first in the 36th minute of the game. Ameen Shah’s thunderous strike from 40 yards double the lead for Thimarafushi after 2 minutes. 

Foakaidhoo started well in the second half and tried come into the game. But, Thimarafushi held on to the lead and dangerred Foakaidhoo’s defence by counter attacks.

As a result, Thimarafushi Defender Ayodeji Tunde puts the icing on the cake with a third goal in the extra time of the game. Foakaidhoo Goalie brought down Thimarafushi striker in the penalty area. Foakaidhoo Goalkeeper was shown a straight Red Card for this offense

Ameen Shah of Thimarafushi was named Final Match Man of the Match while Mohamed Farish Ibrahim was named Player of the Tournament. 

Thimarafushi, Foakaidhoo, Nilandhoo and Fehendhoo are the four teams that will play this year’s Dhivehi Premier League.
