U21 CUP: UNITED VICTORY 0 – 0 THINADHOO

United Victory held out to secure goalless draw with Thinadhoo Sports on Monday evening to keep hopes alive for the final of Youth Championship 2017. As the two sides share a point, both teams are still open for chances of qualifying for the final.

Speaking exclusively to maldivesoccer after the game, United Victory Coach Hussein Solah said that his boys had made him proud.

“I am proud of my boys”.

“They have improved a lot compared to the first game, and they played really well”.

United Victory will face defending Champions Eagles in the last game of group stage. United Victory has to win the game to secure a slot in the final as the top two teams after six round robin matches will advance to the final of the tournament.

“We will try our best to beat Eagles and advance to the final”.

On the other hand, Thinadhoo Sports Coach Ahmed Niyaz was also happy with the result.

“The result is not bad for us. We will work hard to win the last game and advance to the final”.

Thinadhoo is on the third position with just one point while, United Victory is on the bottom of the four teams point table. Thinadhoo will face leaders Maziya in their final group stage game on Wednesday afternoon.
