Mohamed Umair netted a hat-trick as Maziya ended their three-match winless streak with a comfortable 6-0 victory over Maalhos at the Galolhu National Stadium.
Mohamed Umair was on devastating form against Maalhos as he netted a superb hat-trick while Keric Andrej, Yasfaad Habeeb and Assad Ali were on the score sheet.
It leaves Maalhos in sixth place with 8 points from 11 games, with just three games to go with a place in the top four unlikely while Maziya remained on third place with 23 points, 7 behind the leaders New Radiant, and just 3 behind TC Sports Club on second place.
Maziya made several changes from their previous game, with Milos Kovacevic, Hassan Shifaz and Ismail Easa replacing Amdhan Ali, Moosa Yamin and Mohamed Arif while Boateng Kwadjo was a notable absentee for Maalhos due to suspension.
Maziya started the better of the two sides and created the first chance of the game in the second minute when Ismail Easa was on the end of a decent cross from Keric but his shot went straight into the gloves of keeper Ibrahim Zameer.
Umair had opened the scoring for Maziya in the sixth minute when his goal bound cross went into the top corner of the net from outside the box.
A minute later, the Green boys were 2-0 up, and it was Umair again with a decent strike from inside the box.
And soon it was 3-0 for the green boys, as Keric found the back of the net after receiving a decent pass from Ismail Easa.
Then on 16 minutes, Adam Majid headed straight into the gloves of Maziya keeper Mahmoud Al Youssef.
Just around half hour mark, Maalhos keeper Ibrahim Zameer held onto the free-kick from Umair before the keeper claimed another shot from Keric moments later.
It was very nearly 4-0 in the 36th minute as Umair delivered a fine pass to Keric from inside the box, but Abdul Wahid Ibrahim cleared it from in front of the goal.
Shortly before the break, Yasfaad added a fourth goal for his side when he found the bottom corner of the net with a strike from inside the box.
Maalhos had a decent chance after the break on 62 minutes, but Ali Waseem fired the shot straight into the gloves of Mahmoud before Angel Carrascosa Munoz dragged his shot wide two minutes later.
Then, Assad Ali netted from close range to change the score to 5-0 in the 70th minute, having received a decent pass from Keric.
Three minutes later, Umair should have added another goal for his side but his shot from inside the box went wide.
Ahmed Imaaz wasted a great chance on 79 minutes as he dragged the shot wide from inside the box having received a decent ball from Umair.
Then, Umair completed the rout by netting his hat-trick in the 82nd minute from the penalty spot after Ali Samdhooh was fouled inside the box by Ali Naiz.
