Thinadhoo takes revenge against Kudahuvadhoo

Imran Nasheed and Jorge Ivan Caicedo were both on the score sheet for Thinadhoo as they took revenge against Kudahuvadhoo by beating them 2-0 at Galolhu National Stadium in the ongoing Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

Thinadhoo dominated the proceedings and as a result the first attempt came from Ahmed Rizuwan with just five minutes on the clock.

Then, Cristian Dodzi Torsu had the best chance for Kudahuvadhoo on 12 minutes when he forced Dzhanybekov Ruslan into a clearance with his strike from inside the box.

Imran Nasheed broke the deadlock in the 31st minute after receiving the ball through a rebounded shot from Jose Avila and picked out the bottom corner of the net with a decent strike from outside the box.

Rizuwan wasted a decent chance to double their lead moments later, but his shot from inside the box went wide.

The final chance of the first half would fall to Kudahuvadhoo in stoppage-time, when Ahmed Rashad forced a decent save from Dzhanybekov with a decent free-kick from edge of the box.

There were more chances for Thinadhoo in the second half but Jose Avila’s shot was blocked, while Ali Haisham and Rizuwan missed the target.

However, Jorge Caicedo made sure of the points for Thinadhoo with a decent header from inside the box, four minutes from time.

The result means, Thinadhoo are in fifth place with seven points after five games, while Kudahuvadhoo remained at the bottom of the table with just one point.
