MNDF wins Milo Women’s Futsal Challenge

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has won the first ever futsal tournament organised by Football Association of Maldives. MNDF won the match by 5 -4 in penalties after a goalless draw in the regular time against Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).

Both teams were also leveled after all the players took the penalties. MNDF edged past MPL in the second round of penalties.

The queen of the match was awarded to MNDF’s Aminath Zaahiya who took the winning penalty.  Most promising player was awarded to  Shafiyya Rafaa of MPL. Top goal scorer of the tournament was awarded to Mariyam Rifa of MNDF. Fair play team was Maldives National University.

Best 5 players of the tournament was Fathimath Shaaliya and Aminath Shamila of MPL, Mariyam Rifa and Saiga Hussain of MNDF and Fadhwa Zahir of AWA FT.

Best player of the tournament was Mariyam Rifa of MNDF. 

The chief guest of the Milo Futsal Challenge was Minister of Gender, Ms. Zenisha Shaheed Zaki.
