Niyaz snatched a dramtic late winner 

Victory Sports Club claimed an important three points against Club Green Streets to keep their top four hopes alive as they went on to win the game by 2-1.Ahmed Hassan opened the scoring for Club Green Streets before a second half penalty from Ismail Easa restored parity.

As the game was headed for a draw, Mohamed Niyaz’s late strike earns difficult win for Victory Sports Club.

Victory Sports Club dominated the opening proceedings, and they carved out their first opening on 5 minutes when Keric Andrej fired a shot straight at Club Green Streets Keeper Jun Kochi.

Seven minutes later, Jun Kochi was called into action again when he produced a superb save to deny a shot by Keric from inside the box.

Then on 16 minutes, another decent chance fell to Hassan Adhuham but he fired the shot straight into the gloves of keeper Kochi after receiving a cross from Rilwan.

Club Green Streets first chance of the half fell to Ibrahim Rizuhaan in the 30th minute, but his shot from outside the box was punched for a corner by Victory Keeper Mahmoud Al Yoosef.

Six minutes later, at the other end, Adhuham’s decent strike from inside the box was punched for a corner by keeper Kochi.

Two chances in quick succession followed at either end on 42 minutes as Mohamed Riswan shot from inside the box was blocked by Club Green Streets defenders, before Club Green Streets took an unlikely lead following poor defending from Victory keeper Mahmoud when he gifted the ball to Ahmed Hassan who then made no mistake by guiding the ball into the empty net.

Club Green Streets almost double their lead, immediately after restart when Rizuhaan fired a shot from inside the box but it was blocked by Victory keeper Mahmoud.

Victory Sports Club were handed a glorious chance to level the score when they won a penalty around hour mark. Mohamed Saaif was adjudged to have held back Keric, a decision that looked harsh, then Ismail Easa step up to convert his spot-kick by sending the keeper Kochi wrong way to make it 1-1.

In the 62nd minute, Keric’s shot from inside the box went straight into the gloves of keeper Kochi before he wasted probably the best chance, seven minutes later when he dragged the shot wide from close range after receiving a fine ball from Seddik.

11 minutes from time, Victory Sports Club’s best chance of the second half fell to Riswan but his delay in firing the shot made it easy for Club Green Streets Keeper Kochi to block the shot from inside the box.

Then in the 80th minute, a superb block from Victory defender Velichkov denied a decent opportunity for Rizuhaan from close range.

In the 88th minute, Riswan had another glorious chance to grab all three points for Victory Sports Club but he fired the shot inches over the bar.

Then in the dying minutes of the game, second half substitute Mohamed Niyaz snatched a dramatic late winner for Victory.

The result saw Victory moved up to fifth spot in the league, level on 18 points with Club Green Streets on fourth, as the latter are ahead on superior goal difference, while TC Sports Club are down in 6th position with 15 points.
