TC forced to settled for a point against Victory 

TC Sports Club were forced to settle for a point after, twice coming from behind to draw 2-2 with Victory Sports Club in tonight’s Male’ League game.
Andrej Keric scored a brace for Victory Sports Club while Naiz Hassan and Cornelius Stewart were on the score sheet for TC Sports Club.

TC Sports Club almost broke the deadlock when referee awarded a penalty for a handball by Victory Sports Club player inside the box. The resulting spot kick from TC Sports Club’s Egyptian defender El Maghriby went inches wide from left side.

Keric opened the scoring for Victory Sports Club in the 35th minute after receiving a decent ball from Ahmed Niyaz to fire in a well taken volley from inside the box.

Before the end of the opening half, Victory Sports Club goal keeper Mahmoud were forced to produce two saves to stop shots from Shamveel Qasim and Naiz Hassan respectively. TC Sports Club did not have to wait any longer when Farrah’s corner was superbly headed by Naiz to level the score just before the break.

Nine minutes after the break, Victory Sports Club missed a crucial chance to increase the lead when Ismail Easa’s shot from inside the box rattled the cross bar.

In the 59th minute, Victory Sports Club went ahead for the second time in this game when Keric chested a brilliant cross from Mohamed Seddik down the right flank.

Five minutes before regular time, TC Sports Club were awarded a penalty after Rilwan Waheed fouled Mahudhee Ibrahim inside the box. The resulting spot kick was converted by Cornelius Stewart for the equalizing goal.

In the last minutes of the game, TC Sports Club Keeper Kiran produced quick double saves to stop shots from Victory’s goal scorer Keric and Easa. At the other end, TC Sports Club defender Azzam’s header was well saved by Keeper Mahmoud.

Ultimately, it’s two points dropped for TC Sports Club as they are 2 points adrift of leaders New Radiant in second place. Victory Sports Club are still at sixth place with two points from 4 games.

New Radiant could extend their lead at the top if they manage to get maximum points against Maziya SR in tomorrow’s game. In tomorrow’s second game Club Green Streets will play against United Victory.
