Coach Ahmed Athif hit out at match referee after 10 men New Radiant beat United Victory by 3-0 in STO Male League game played today. Goals for New Radiant were scored by Adrian Gallardo, Stevan Markovic and Ali Fasir. 

After the humiliating result, Athif, accused referee Zaeem Alis officiating. He criticized Football Association’s subsidizing policies for the clubs saying that FA should rather spend more on improving standards of referees.  

“I think instead of spending three million on clubs, they should spend six million on developing referees”. 

“I am very disappointed of today’s officiating”. 

Today’s match was officiated by Referee Zaeem Ali, while lines were monitored by Ahmed Abdulla and Zaheer Hussain. 

New Radiant Coach Bernado Tavarez was also unhappy about todays match officials. 

Today’s loss against New Radiant is the second for United Victory this season. Last week they lost against Club Eagles by two goals to nil. United Victory is yet to score a goal in this season. 

Athif, has recently criticized FA Maldives about the match schedule of STO Male’ League too. He complained that his side has to play more games in the afternoon than any other team. He also has complained about postponed matches of TC Sports and Club Valencia.
