Male’, MALDIVES – Hussain Shimaz’s brace against All Youth Linkage helped Victory to beat them by 3-0 and to go on to the fourth place of the Dhiraagu Dhivehi League table. Victory’s third goal came from Kaka.

Victory dominated the game and created open chances to score against AYL.

Hussain Shimaz opened the scoring for Victory in the 11th minute from a wonderful shot and a minute later he doubled the lead.

Victory’s third goal was scored by Kaka just three minutes after the break.

Victory’s head coach Mohamed Athif said that it was an important three point for them.

“It was an important three points for us and getting 7 points from 5 matches is very good when compared to last year’s results.”

“Still we need to work hard and there are many important matches ahead.”

On the other hand AYL coach, Ahmed Nashid said that the performance of the team was good.

“I am happy with the performance of the team but the problem was our players failed to convert to a goal the chances we got.”

With this win Victory got seven points from five games and they are on fourth position of the table.

In the next match of the league BG Sports will play against Mahibadho SC tomorrow night at 2200 hours.
