Umair shines in PDRM's friendly win

Male', MALDIVES - PDRM FA thrashed Felda United U23 5-0 in a friendly match played today at Petronas training center to prepare for the Malaysia Cup quarter final match on early October.

Mohamed Umair, who is on a PDRM FA trial, played well throughout the match and created good chances to score.

Speaking exclusively to maldivesoccer.com, Maldives national team captain and key player of PDRM, Ashfaq said that he’s happy with Umair’s performance and he played well in his first match in PDRM FA.

“Umair played very well in his first match and created good chances to score. I’m happy with his performance.” Ashfaq said.

Umair will complete a 10-day trial at Kuala Lumpur with PDRM FA before joining back to his current club, New Radiant.

I'm starting to think Umair was Ashfaq's personal recommendation when PDRM asked him about another Maldivian player.
