Turkmenistan came from behind to demolish Laos

Hithadhoo, MALDIVES - Turkmenistan has started their AFC Challenge Cup 2014 campaign with a 5 -1 win over Laos in the match played in Addu City today. Laos played well in the first half and were leading until Turkmenistan players wake up with a reply four minutes remaining to the half time and scoring another 4 goals to demolish Laos.

Just kick off to the game Laos created their first attempt on target but Souk Aphone's shot from close range was blocked by a defender from goal line.

In the tenth minute of the game Tiny tried with a long range shot but it went inches away from the target.

Six minutes later Durdiyev could have made a difference to hand the lead to Turkmenistan, but he failed to control the ball from inside the penalty area when he was left unmarked.

34th minute of the game Turkmenistan goalkeeper made an outstanding save on Khampheng's shot. Khampheng penetrated Turkmenistan defense line and when only keeper to beat he tried to shoot the ball in to goal, but it was not enough to beat goalkeeper.

In the next minute Khampheng did no mistake to bring Laos to lead with a superb acrobat bicycle kick to top roof of the goal.

Four minute remaining in the first half Bayramov leveled the game for Turkmenistan with an easy header from Abylov's perfect effort. Abylov shot from edge of the penalty area deflected by the far post and rebounded after hitting goalkeeper and Bayramov converted to a goal with a free header from close range.

Turkmenistan was awarded with a penalty kick in the 48th minute as Bayramov was brought down by Sengdao inside the penalty area. Durdiyev converted the penalty kick in to the goal and turned the game to Turkmenistan's side.

Five minutes later Astanov took the advantage of a mistake by Laos keeper to punch the ball from a corner kick and extended the lead for Turkmenistan.

Six minutes remaining in the clock Durdiyev made it 4 -1 after finishing Farhat's cross in to the goal.

Hojaahmedoov sealed the 5 - 1 win for Turkmenistan after finishing his powerful shot from just inside the penalty area to the far corner of the goal to gift all the 3 points from the game to Turkmenistan.

In the next game of Group-B Afghanistan will play against Phillipines tonight at Addu Football Stadium.
