all praise to coach nizam , he was waiting for the dead end and used all his fresh substitutes and that worked just enought , thought Eagles might even loose the match in last 10 mins plus added time , it's was a quencher from Shafley

The gap between the top and lesser teams appears to be a lot less than it was in recent seasons. While New Radiant/ VB Sports would eat the whole league and mop it up during the last decade, now we see the emergence of Maziya, Eagles and even the less fancied BG and TC Sports. Maziya's management module has paid off big time and it's encouraging to see other clubs following suit. It's a shame that Valencia and Victory have fallen so far behind, mostly by their own doing, but I hope they will manage to get some consistency and make this season's title race go down all the way to the wire. Still room for improvement, though. For an example, Maziya and Eagles are very small clubs even by Maldivian standards, so they don't have any fan base of note. They should do more to promote themselves to football fans in Maldives and try to increase their fans, otherwise we will probably see next season's AFC Cup matches played in an empty stadium again.
