TC beat Valencia

Male', MALDIVES - TC Sports Club has won their debut match in the top flight against Club Valencia by 2-0 today in the ongoing Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

In the fourth minute Valencia's keeper Athif was forced to block a shot from TC Sports Club's Nafiu.

TC Sports Club opened the scoring in the 20th minute from a stunning shot from Ali Nafiu.

Nine minutes after the break keeper Athif was forced to stop another shot from Yameen.

In the 69th minute Rafael beat his marker and made a good shot but went wide.

TC Sports Club's Rafael doubled the lead in the 75th minute from a wonderful free kick from Yameen which Rafael flick into the net.

In the last game of the first week of Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League, Maziya will play against Club Eagles tomorrow at 1600 hours.

Ali Nafiu, where on earth has he been? He was voted the country's best young player a few years ago before his career spiralled downward. It's good to see him back and scoring goals.

Even TC can beat Valencia – a club which was more like football star producing factory like heena, Lahchey, shah and not the very least the one and only dhanganday? Are we going to see the demise of that very same Valencia?
