Is Mahibadhoo to go into the history books as the worst team to have played in Dhivehi league? Next week Dhivehi league will come an end and they will play their final game against Valencia fighting to cling on to the sixth position and if they comes empty handed they will have paltry 2 points from 14 matches, an infamy no one will come to associate with…they have scored a mere 11 goals and conceded a staggering 42 goals. So the obvious question is what is Mahibadhoo up to? Are they there just to make up for the numbers? Does that bode well for a struggling league when a team can be beaten by any of the rest by merely strolling around? It not only devalues a league already clutching at the straw in term of excitement, pull of the crowd, it is disservice to the football and to their fans watching from their home. If they are incapable of maintaining certain level of competency in terms of a squad and funds they should think of sticking to the standard they can compete. Don't make football an eyesore for those who follow it diligently.
