FAM has said that they are looking for a Technical Director

Male’, MALDIVES – Football Association of Maldives has said that they are looking for a Technical Director for the Association.

FAM’s deputy general secretary Mohamed Nasir (Naabe) said that they are trying to appoint a Technical Director before finalizing the schedule for next year.

“We are now working on that and we hope to finalize a person for that post soon. At the moment also we got some CV’s.”

“We want to appoint a person for that post before finalizing the schedule for next season. We want to finalize it with a help of a Technical Director as we have some international matches next year and we need to have a good timing for those matches.”

On February last year FAM’s current management has decided not to renew the contract with then Technical Director Mauroof Ahmed.

No technical director since last year February? And now they want appoint a new one because they have few international matches next year? What a sad state of affairs for our football. How on earth is FAM run? Other countries follow Fifa sanctioned norms and rules, take international breaks accordingly, ¬¬¬and play friendlies to keep national football team in good form. India recently played against Palestine and three months back against Malaysia, we did not play any. Is there any blueprint for our football? Or is there anybody who is worried where our football is headed?

Like the poor design of FAM house where the outdoor units of AC is taking the astetic beauty of the house and giving not-so-pretty look, everything going inside that building is ruining the national sport.
