Easy win for Eagles

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles won their first match in the third round of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League after beating Mahibadhoo by 3-0.

Ibrahim Mubeen broke the deadlock in the 26th minute from a wonderful cross from Easa.

Mahibadhoo keeper Jazlan was forced to make two saves to stop the shots from Imran Nasheed and Ibrahim Furugan inside the box.

Eagles skipper Easa hits the woodworks in the first half.

Mahibadhoo’s Mohamed Junaidh missed a golden opportunity to level the game. In the 52nd minute, Eagles keeper Faisal blocked the shot from Junaidh and also he missed another good chance in the 76th minute to level the game, which he shot wide.

Yasfaadh Habeeh doubled the lead in the last minute of the normal time while Junaidh scored third goal for Eagles from a good shot on the edge of the penalty area.

Eagles lies on the third position of the league table with 26 points 15 games.
