Blues stun Eagles to go top

Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant beat Club Eagles by 4-1 to retain the top position of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.

New Radiant took the lead in the 6th minute through Australian midfielder Dane after he converted the penalty awarded for a foul on him.

It was balance game in the first half and Eagles created some good opportunities to level the game.

In the 33rd minute Hassan Adhuham leveled the game for Eagles after he slotted from close range.

New Radiant took the lead again in the 47th minute when Ali Fasir scored from close range after Jamal Dibi's weak effort came off the post.

New Radiant were dominant in the second half and Ibrahim Fazeel increased the lead in the 79th minute when he headed Fasir's free kick into the far corner.

Ali Fasir sealed the win in the 89th minute from a powerful long range shot.

New Radiant lies on top with 12 points from 4 games while Maziya is in second with 10 points.
