Male', MALDIVES - Ali Fasir scored a last minute goal for New Radiant to beat Valencia in their first game in the third round of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.

Defending champions, New Radiant failed to broke the deadlock in the first half against Valencia.

In the 39th minute and 41st minute Mohamed Umair sent two good shots on target but keeper Ifrah saved those on both occasions.

In the 59th minute Akram Abdul Ghani's shot just outside the box went over the bar.

In the 75th minute keeper Ifrah was forced to stop the short range shot from Hamza.

Hamza broke the deadlock in the 82nd minute from a rebounded ball while Valencia players tried to clear it from the danger zone.

Three minutes later Ahmed Rilwan leveled the game from a superb shot inside the box.

Ali Fasir scored the winning goal for New Radiant in the additional time from a wonderful volley.

Gutsy performance by Valencia. Today Valencia showed that what almost worked is tactical Football and NRSCs money and national team players dont necessarily get them success. Cheer up Valencia u guys have shown us the way foward. I once again am starting to believe with the scenes from the Stadium from the supporters and players and officialz todat that Maldivian Club football is not dead. Hope hope Valencia
