Asadhulla shines Maziya

Male’, MALDIVES – Asadhulla Abdulla scored four goals against Mahibadhoo to beat them by 6-1 in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.

Ashad Ali opened the soring in the second minute of the game from a penalty when keeper Jazlan fouled on Asadhulla Abdulla inside the box.

Maziya dominated the game and created very good chances to increase the margin and in the 39th minute, Yannick scored an own goal to double the lead for Maziya. Yannick tried to clear the ball supplied by Samdhooh from a free kick but unfortunately it went into the goal.

Two minutes before the break Maziya’s skipper Asadhulla scored their third goal from the spot when referee awarded them a penalty when Yannick brought down Ashad inside the box.

In the 51st minute, Nazeer scored for Mahibadhoo from a fierce shot on the edge of the box after beating Zhivko.

Twelve minutes later, Asadhulla converted the score to 4-1 from a good volley from a cross by Ashad Ali.

In the 78th minute referee awarded third penalty for Maziya when Patric brought down Asadhulla inside the box and Asadhulla scored his third goal of the day.

In the 84th minute, Asadhulla’s header inside the box hits the woodwork and missed his fourth goal of the day.

In the additional time of the game, Asadhulla scored his fourth goal of the day from a wonderful header inside the box. This was his 27th goal of the season.

With this win Maziya is on the top of the table with 43 points from 16 games. Second placed New Radiant is with 42 points from 15 games.

Club Eagles will play against Club Valencia tonight at 2100 hours.
