Maziya appoints ambitious Sekulovski as head coach 

Maziya Sports and Recreations newly appointed head coach Marjan Sekulovski targets to win all tournaments of 2017 football season. Maziya has kicked off their preparations for next season with their new coach today.

The Macedonian tactician Marjan Sekulovski, who is also the first ever foreign coach of Maziya said that his target is to defend the league title and to win FA Cup and President’s Cup. 

“I have played against Maziya and New Radiant when I was in Myanmar. I have the basic information about Maldivian football”. 

“I have good information about my players. I have also seen Maldivian football improving gradually”.

“My target is to win everything, which is possible, with Maziya”. 

Marjan Sekulovski is a well reputed name in the AFC Cup as he has earlier guided two teams of Myanmar, Ayeyawady United and Yangon United. When asked about the chances for Maziya in the AFC Cup 2017, after the change of the format of the competition, Sekulovski believes the road is tough. 

“I personally prefer the previous format in AFC Cup. In the previous format we have more chances to advance but now the chances are limited”. 

Maziya is placed in Group E along with Runnersup of AFC Cup, Bengaluru FC and Dhaka Abhani. There is high chances of Mohan Bagan will also come into the same group after the play off match.

“Doesn’t matter whether we have to play against Bengaluru or Mohan Bagan. We will try for a good result in every match”. 

In 2014, Football Federation of Macedonia has also awarded Marjan Sekulovski the best Macedonian Coach abroad.
