New Radiant, who is set for a major administrative take over, is believed to have set January to hold an election where a group of businessmen will take over the club for the next four years. It is also believed that the majority of current executive board has already submitted their resignation to make the handover easy.

New Radiant is also in the market to sign marquee players for the next season. In terms of local and international successes New Radiant has a more colourful history than any other club in the Maldives but the club has endured a difficult season this time finishing 5th in the league and third in the FA Cup.
