Despite losing recently ended FAM election, Ahmed Thariq has reassured that he will remain serving football community.
“I thank everyone who helped me and voted for me in the election. I will continue serving the football community” he wrote on his official facebook page.
Thariq has a glittering history as a player, who played majority of his career for New Radiant and later served the club as their General Secretary.
Thariq, now an MP for Mahibadhoo constituency, was also a key player Maldives national team that won 2008 SAFF Championship co-hosted by Maldives and Sri Lanka.
He is also a co-founder of Mahibadhoo Sports Club, now playing in the second division, after two seasons at the top.
