Trevor Morgan happy despite losing

Bhutan Coach Trevor Morgan has expressed his pleasure over the players effort despite losing at the hands of hosts Bangladesh. Bhutan lost the opening match in front of nearly 20000 home crowd Bangladesh 2-0.

Speaking at the post match press briefing, Trevor praised his boys for their effort.

“I couldn’t have asked for anything more from the players in terms of effort. I think we’re lacking a bit in quality, a bit in in-game management. I was really pleased with the performance today”

We were under a bit of pressure from the set-plays in the first half, but the longer the game went, the better we could deal with them.

“We would still have been in the game in the second half, but we conceded a goal immediately which was very frustrating because it was from our goal kick. This is football, the players have to learn from it and if they do, we’ll become a better side”

Travers Bhutan will be up against Nepal in their next encounter. As Nepal  has also lost their first game, the match between these two sides will decide the first team to be eliminated from the tournament.
