Sri Lankan Football Team Captain Subash Madushan says his side is ready for the upcoming SAFF Championship. Sri Lanka is placed in Group B along with Maldives and mighty India.
On a statement to Sri Lankan Football Federation Facebook page, captain Subash says that his has been on the right track after a planned preparation including overseas camp.
“We are ready. We went through a well-planned preparation including overseas camping to take part in this SAFF CHAMPIONSHIP”.

Sri Lankan National team camped in South Korea in preparation for the SAFF Championship. They also played two friendly games against Lithuania recently in their preparation campaign for the SAFF Championship 2018.
“We are ready to face any competition. We are ready to show who we are and we are ready to take Sri Lankan Football to the next level.”
Sri Lanka has picked a squad of 23 players with the experienced goalkeeper Sujan Perera, who has been playing in Maldives for last few years. He has been marked as the best goalkeeper in Maldivian league recently.
Sri Lanka will kick off the SAFF Championship on 5th September against defending champions India. Sri Lanka will face Maldives on 7th September which will also be the opening game for Maldives.
