Club Valencia relegated

Club Valencia has been relegated to second division for the first time in the 39 years history of the club on Sunday, after United Victory beat 4-2 on aggregate in the Male’i League Qualifiers 2019.

Valencia held United Victory 2-2 today, but they got relegated as they lost the first leg 2-0.

Valencia came strong on todays game as they were two goals behind on aggregate when they started todays game. They were up with two goals by Mohamed Sifan and Ansar Ibrahim keeping their hopes alive for being in the top division. But United Victory was not in a mood to give up. Sammuel Kordell and Rafeal Betim scored two goals to knockout once Maldives’ most decorated team from the top division.

Valencia has won just four games in last two years. Five times Dhivehi League Champions Club Valencias last trophy was FA Cup 2016 which came after a break of nine years.
