Defending champions New Radiant SC boss Oscar Bruzon admits Blues will miss Ali Ashfaq who has moved to TC Sports, but, believes it as an opportunity for other players to show up. Oscars New Radiant, as the champions of the last edition of Dhivehi League will kick off the new edition today against Champions of Minivan Championship 2018.
Speaking ahead of the opening game of DhivehI Premier League, Oscar told maldivesoccer that Ashfaq will be missed.
“Since Ashfaq is not anymore playing for us we will miss a key player”.
We take it as an opportunity for other players to show up. We have signed good players on the window with the sight and prospective of improving our performances and numbers
Ashfaq played a vital role in Oscars success as the Head Coach of New Radiant for the last one year. Oscar and Ashfaq together has won last four domestic trophies. Despite the absence of Ashfaq, Oscar is confident that his side will keep on the winning run. And he has aimed to defend the League title to qualify for the AFC Cup next season.
“Keep the winning run of the team, target all the domestic titles and qualify for the next AFC Cup. No doubt it’s an ambitious target but it’s the driven nature of our Club”.
“Winning titles it’s difficult in modern football. The routine created to work day by day with ambition (at both levels individually and as a group has been a differential factor for us. Putting it together with a constant and positive evolution in our game model is what will make our team even stronger”.
As Ashfaq who has scored 20 goals for Blues this season left, New Radiant has signed two new foreigners .
“The team will have continuity in terms of players and identity of our game. The new comers are adjusting steady on what we want from them”. Oscar told maldivesoccer.
