Indian Champion Aizawl FC Caoch Santosh Kashyap says his side will try to do better in the upcoming matches of AFC Cup. Aizawl lost 3-1 to New Radiant today, the opening match for them in the AFC Cup Campaign.

Champions of I-League 2016-17, Aizawl FC scored opener through Lalram Hmunmawia in the 33rd minute. But a hat-trick from Ali Ashfaq meant his side went on top of the group standings with two wins from two games.

Speaking at the post match press briefing Santosh Kashyap said that he hopes his side will do better. He also mentioned that New Radiant came too strong in the second half and his side cannot cope with them.

“The better team win. We got the lead, but was difficult to cope in the second half”

“We conceded goals with silly mistakes and they were too strong”.

Aizawl will host Bengaluru in the next match of AFC Cup. The match is scheduled to take place on 5th of April. This match was initially scheduled to take place last week.
