Captain Ali Ashfaq lifts New Radiant over defending Champions Maziya 1-0 in the ongoing STO Male League. Despite Blues winning the match, Maziya dominated the game throughtout.

Defending champions Maziya started the match with a point as they shared with Green Streets in their first game, but the favorites started with full three points and are five points clear to Maziya with six points form two games.

Captain Ali Ashfaq who scored the only goal of the match was later declared Man of the Match.

As substitute player Rilwan Waheed was sent off in the game with a second yellow card, New Radiant completed the match with one player less.

New Radiant will face Club Eagles in their next local game. But before that, they will fly Bangladesh for an AFC Cup group stage match and also will host Indian Champions Aizawl FC. Maziya with just a point from two games will face Club Valencia.
