TC Sports striker Ishan Ibrahim says he is relishing the opportunity of meeting regional giants Bengluru FC in AFC Cup playoff. Ishans TC Sports will host Bengaluru FC on Tuesday evening at National Stadium.
Ahead of Tuesdays’s playoff first leg match against Bengaluru FC, Ishan said that himself and his mates are well prepared for the ‘big match’.
“Myself, my teammates, coaching staffs, management and everyone in the team; we are ready to face them”.
Ishan who signed TC this season played a vital role in the preliminary two games. Ishan assisted the goal in the away match against Saif Sporting club to win by a goal.
“After the preliminary two games against Saif Sporting of Bangladesh, the whole team has been focusing on the match”.
TC Sports as the runners up of Dhivehi Premier League 2017, secured a slot in the the AFC Cup qualifying round beat Saif Sporting Club of Bangladesh in 4-1 aggregate. Meanwhile as the champions of Federation Cup of India, Bengaluru FC secured a slot in the qualifying round. Bengaluru FC was held goalless by Bhutan Transport United in the first leg and Bangaluru won three goals to nil in the second leg to qualify for the playoff round.
Bengaluru has played in the AFC Cup against Maldivian sides in the last two years winning all games both at home and at Maldives.
