New Radiant boss Oscar Bruzon Barreras has set his players the target improving that last season instead of talking about trophies. New Radiant will kick off the football season 2018 tomorrow against TC Sports Club at the Season Opener.
Speaking exclusively to maldivesoccer.com ahead of the first match of the season, Oscar said that talking about trophies will not help.
“The target is to improve than the last season”.
“I don’t want to put names, I don’t want to put titles”.
New Radiant concluded last season with three trophies namely, Dhivehi Primer League, FA Cup and Presidents cup under the helm of Oscar.
“Last year I think we were talking too much about titles and I don’t think this will help”.
Oscars first test for the season after the Charity Shield with be the AFC Cup. Blues squad has been strengthened for the AFC Cup aiming to reach the finals. Blues has signed three foreign players including captain of Afghanistan National team and two Spaniards.
New Radiant is placed with Champions of India and Bangladesh in the AFC Cup.
“We target to do a decent result in the group stage of AFC Cup”.
“We are dreaming of qualification but let’s go step by step”.
