TC Sports kicked off their AFC Cup campaign with an away win against Saif Sporting Club of Bangladesh in the preliminary round of AFC Cup this afternoon, thanks for the goal by Anatoliy Vlasichev newly signed Kyrgyzstani playmaker.
Speaking exclusively to maldivesoccer.com after the match, veterans defender of TC Sports, Abdulla Haneef noted the win as a result of tireless work by his teammates. According to him the pitch conditions were unexpectedly bad.
“The condition of the pitch was very bad. It was very difficult, but we never gave up”.
“We all worked hard and we made it. We will work even harder when we play at home, as it will not be an easy game”.
Haneef played a vital role in the 1-0 win against Saif Sporting.
This is the debut match for TC Sports in the AFC Cup. With the important three points from the first leg, TC will host Saif Sporting club at National stadium on January 30 in Male’.
Should they progress from this group, TC will face the winners of the Preliminary match between Bengluru FC of India and Transport United of Bhutan.
