Green Streets Left Humiliated by Thinadhoo

Jose Avila scored a hat-trick as Thinadhoo handed the heaviest defeat of the season to Club Green Streets with 7-0 win at the Galolhu National Stadium on Sunday.

It was Ali Suzain’s first win of the league with Thinadhoo since he took charge of them, but they would still remained on fifth place with 15 points from 12 games, 1 behind Club Green Streets on fourth place.

Club Green Streets were without Sobol Illia and William Macko as they came into this important game against Thinadhoo.

Ansar Ibrahim opened the scoring in the 15th minute of the game with a close range strike from inside the box following a deflected shot from Jose Avila.

Then Avila opened his account with a superb strike from outside the box to make it 2-0 on 21 minutes before he added a third from the spot, for a handball from Mohamed Shaffaz on half hour mark.

Soon they were 4-0 up, thanks to Avila who completed his hat-trick with a superb solo goal from inside the box following another poor defending from Club Green Streets.

Approaching half-time Club Green Streets had two decent chances score, with Ibrahim Rizuhaan’s shot blocked by Dzhanybekov Ruslan before Shafiu Ahmed headed wide from inside the box.

There would be no way back for Club Green Streets as further goals from Haisham and a brace from Ahmed Rizuwan completed the rout.
