TC go third with the win over Green Streets

TC Sports Club produced a brilliant second half display as they clinched a 3-1 win against Club Green Streets in the last game of the first round of this year’s Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.
All the goals of this game were scored in the second half. Naiz Hassan, Khalil and Cornelius Stewart were all on the target for TC Sports Club while Ahmed Nizam scored the only goal for Club Green Streets.

TC Sports Club are on third place, level on 16 points with Maziya, but the green boys occupy second place on goal difference, while Club Green Streets are on fourth place with 12 points.

Club Green Streets should have broken the deadlock from their first attack in the fifth minute of the match when William Macko hits the post.

Four minutes later, Naiz Hassan went on to hit the cross bar with a decent strike from outside the box.

Then on 25 minutes, Cornelius Stewart was the next to hit the post with a decent free-kick.

After a goalless opening half, TC Sports Club started the second half strongly and they finally broke the deadlock through Naiz Hassan in the 57th minute.

A minute later, Khalil made it 2-0 with a decent strike from the distance, after taking full advantage of a poor clearance from Club Green Streets keeper Jun Kochi.

TC sports Club had the ball in the net again after few minutes with a decent strike from Cornelius Stewart.

Then on 71 minutes, Ali Shamis should have pulled a goal back for Club Green Streets with a superb penetrating run down the right side only to see his shot saved by TC Sports Club keeper Kiran.

Club Green Streets would eventually pull a goal back 15 minutes from time through Ahmed Nizam.

A minute later, Ibrahim Waheed Hassan should have done better when he hits the post as he missed another decent chance to extend his team’s lead.

Then in the injury time, William Macko missed another chance for Green Streets with a free-kick from outside the box when his shot was saved by Kiran.
