Rizuwan clinches late win for Thinadhoo

The game between Thinadhoo and Milandhoo were headed for a draw until Ahmed Rizuwan snatched a late winner for Thinadhoo in the dying minutes of the second half at the Galolhu National Stadium in the ongoing Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

The result sees, Thinadhoo held onto fifth place with 10 points from 6 games, two behind Club Green Streets on fourth spot. Meanwhile, Milandhoo remained at sixth place with just 2 points from 6 games.

A first half with fewer clear cut chances for both sides, Adam Imran opened the scoring for Milandhoo inside half hour mark.

After conceding a goal during the first half, Thinadhoo were beginning to pose a threat to their opponents Milandhoo after the break and they leveled the score in the 69th minute through second half substitute Mohamed Riswan.

Just when the game was headed for a 1-1 draw, Ahmed Rizuwan ensured all three points for Thinadhoo in the dying minutes of the second half with a brilliant strike from on the edge of the box.

This was the third time in the last few games that Milandhoo conceded a late goal and lost the game.
