Qatar’s Al Duhail beat Maldives national team by 1-0 in a friendly match played in Qatar.

Al Duhail entered the match without large number of first team players who are with their respective national teams for the upcoming international matches.

Yousuf Al Arabi scored the only goal in 21st minute but he could have easily doubled the lead but missed a penalty later in the game.

Al Duhail also tested large number of youth players in the second half but Maldives found no way back into the game.

Maldives are preparing for their AFC Asian Cup qualifying game against Oman on 5th September.

Regional nationals like Afghanistan and India played competitive friendly games against other nations to prepare for their respective fixtures.
