Drago Mamić says Dhaka Abahani squad is working tirelessly to improve in key areas ahead of AFC Cup clash against Maziya SR. Dhaka Abahani will face Maziya in the AFC Cup on Wednesday at 1600hrs. The first leg match between the two sides ended in favor for Maziya.

Drago Mamić, former Maldives Head Coach has gradually altered the Abahanis’ style of play and there have been clear signs of improvement in recent months, with beating regional giants Benagaluru FC in the last AFC Cup game.

“The team is rising from game to game. And beating Bengaluru is a big result for us”.

“We have some issues of injuries, but let’s see how it goes. Let’s see it tomorrow”.

Dhaka Abahani is placed on the bottom of Group E and the chances of qualifying for the next round is already closed for Abahani.

“I think Maziya is happy with our win against Bengaluru otherwise they will also be out of the race like us”.

Former Maldives coach, Drago Mamić who won the bronze medal of AFC Challenge Cup 2014 with Maldives also recalled his days at Maldives.

“It is a good memory, and I am proud of those moments at Maldives”.
