Victory clinch an important win

Victory Sports Club clinched an important win against fellow bottom side Club Valencia in Male’ League game played last nightVictory won the game by 3-1.

Keric Andrej opened the scoring for Victory just around half hour mark. Omodu Godfrey West equalize for Valencia just few minutes after restart while Ismail Easa gave the lead again before Shafiu Ahmed struck into his own net after failing to clear the ball for a corner

Former Valencia player Hassan Adhuham was unlucky not to register a shot on goal for Victory Sports Club after 16 minutes when his effort was blocked by Valencia defenders inside the box

Three minutes later, Adhuham came close again but his shot went straight to Valencia keeper Faisal

In the 28th minute, Valencia‘s first chance fell to Ahmed Rilwan as he fired a shot from inside the box straight to Victory keeper Mahmoud Ali Youssef. 

Victory broke the deadlock through a header from Keric afterreceiving a pin point cross from Ali Shamis just under half hour mark. 

Valencia started the second half promisingly and they found the equalizethrough Omodu after three minutes into the second half. 

Then, in space if few minutes Omodu was denied twice in quick succession by Victory’s keeper Mahmoud

In the 59th minuteIsmail Easa gave the lead for Victory from a calm finish from inside the box after receiving a pass from Mohamed Riswan. 

Four minutes later, Omodu fired a shot inches over the bar

In the 67th minute, Valencia were dealt a blow when Shafiu fired a shot into his own net trying to clear the ball for corner after receiving enormous pressure from Keric.

At the other end, there were flurry of chances for ValenciaFirst it was Rilwan, whose volley from outside the box goes over the barThen in the added time,  Hussain Nihan headed wide from inside the box after receiving a brilliant cross from Ahmed WishamThen it was Wisham who headed over the bar after receiving a fine cross from Yoosuf Rameez

Victory climbed upto sixth place after this priceless win against fellow strugglers Valencia. Victory have got 5 points from 6 games, as they are two points ahead of their next opponent United Victorywho are at seventh place. Valencia are still at the bottom of the table with just one point from the opening 6 games.
