Unhappy Sekulovski ready to win games for Maziya

Maziya SR boss Marjan Sekulovski has expressed his frustrations over the refusal of his request to Football Association of Maldives’ to postponed the match against United Victory on Saturday afternoon.

Maziya SR requested FAM to postpone their game against United Victory as they will host Mohun Bagan of India on Wednesday in the AFC Cup. Maziya’s hopes for qualifying for the second round of AFC Cup will be still alive if they beat Mohun Bagan.

“We requested to change just one match for the interest of Maldives football. Not my interest or Maziya’s interest, because we are the only team representing Maldives in the AFC Cup, but they refused”.

According to Sekulovski, his request was rejected by FAM as they are unable to change the fixtures. But FAM has changed the fixtures four times since the beginning of the season. They changed the fixtures earlier as Valencia played against Mohun Bagan and TC Sports played in a tournament held in Bangladesh.

“Ok, we will not cry. We will go play”.

“We will win against United Victory and we will try to beat Mohan Bagan on Wednesday”.

Maziya is placed second in Male’ League with 12 points and a game in hand as they are set to face United Victory. They are also placed second in the AFC Cup group E.
