Palestine happy with three goals and three points

Palestine Head coach Abdel Nasser Barakat expressed satisfaction over winning the opening match of their AFC Asian Cup Qualification by beating Maldives with three goals to nil. Second half substitutes scored three goals against Maldives in front of home crowd.

Speaking after the match, Abdel Nasser Barakat said that he knew Maldives could not defense in the same style for complete ninety minutes.

“First half was very tough as Maldives played really well”.

“But we knew Maldives cannot play ninety minutes defending”.

Ahmad Maher Wirdat who came on as a second half substitute scored twice while another substitute Ahmed Abu Nahyeh made his name on the score sheet.

“I knew the substitutes will make the difference in the game”.
