We could have scored more says Sekulovski

Caoch Marjan Sekulovski is pleased with Maziya’s win against Dhaka Abahani but thought they could have won by a bigger margin against Champions of Bangladesh.

The first leg of the tie was played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka, and it was the Green Boys who took control by bagging two away goals.

Sekulovski was satisfied with the performance of his team and thought a few more goals could have been scored if they were a bit lucky.

“I think we had bad luck because we missed chances to score even more”.

Mohamed Umair opened the scoring for the visitors just five minutes into kick off. Later captain Assadulla Abdulla doubled the score for his side with a wonderful solo goal.  

“We scored an early goal and it was natural to play defensively to maintain the lead though we never intended to play a defensive game”.

Maziya SR will host JSW Bengaluru FC in their next match of AFC Cup on 4th of April 2017. JSW Bengaluru, who finished last edition of AFC Cup as the runners up won against their domestic rivals Mohun Bagan yesterday.
