Back to back wins for Blues

Second half goals from Gallardo, Markovic and Fasir was enough to earn another win for New Radiant as they beat United Victory by 3-0 in this evening’s game in Male’ League. This win takes them to the top of the point table.
During the first half both teams didn’t create enough chances and as a result the half ended goalless. Right before the end of the first half, New Radiant’s Spanish striker Gallardo forced two saves from United Victory’s Russian Keeper Ruslan Amirov.

New Radiant started the second half much promisingly and Gallardo almost gave them the lead right after the break when he forced another save from United Victory’s Keeper Amirov.

In the 50th minute Gallardo broke the deadlock when Fasir found him inside the box and Gallardo scored from a decent shot into the back of the net.

Even though New Radiant played with 10-man for the majority of the second half, when their Japanese Midfielder Keisuke Ogawa was sent off for the second bookable offence in the 65th minute, they were still dominating the possession as well as creating goal scoring opportunities.

New Radiant’s second goal was scored in the 69th minute by Stevan Markovic when Fasir’s corner found him inside the box as he fired a powerful header from a very tight angle. Few minutes later Fasir had a glorious opportunity to score when he beat his marker on the edge of the penalty area but his shot from inside the box goes wide.

Just before the end of regular time, Fasir made up for his missed chances as he scored the third goal of the game when Gallardo found him inside the box for a simple tap in.
