Valencia aiming for three points against Green Street

Club Valencia will be aiming for three points knowing that the new comers Green Street are a strong side and will be a challenging game, as they both are set to meet in STO Male’ League 2017.

This is the first match of Valencia in the league while Green Street has surprisingly defeated Victory SC in their opening match.

Valencia recently got knocked out of AFC Cup playoff stage by Indian powerhouse Mohun Bagan. But Valencia’s veteran defender Mohomed Sifan believes his side will not be negatively affected from the result against Mohun Bagan.

“We have learned a lot from those games against Mohun Bagan and Thimphu City FC”.

“It’s an advantage for us that we have played tough games ahead of local league”.

Sifan also said that his opponent Green Street has already proved their strength and cannot take the game easily.

“Green Street has already shown us who they are and what they are capable of”.

“They have got a good combination of experienced players and youngsters along with good foreign players”.

“We respect them, but we will give a good fight. We are aiming for three points”.

Green Streets coach Sobah Mohamed is fellow teammate of Sifan for a long time both at club and National Team. Sifan described his ex-team mate as a mastermind.

“I know him very well as we have played together for a long time. He is the best emerging coach in the country”.

“Sobah is simply a mastermind and I am sure he will give us a tough time”.
